Mark 12:35-37 How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?
For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool. David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? The Jews in Jesus’s day were very familiar with the Old Testament
scripture. In the beginning, you find Jesus! Let US make man in our own image. US, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost! God is a triune being, we are as well. Body, soul, and spirit. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by Him! Notice in John 1:14… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
So, with just a few texts from scripture, we can accurately conclude that Jesus is not a created being, He is the Creator! Isaiah tells us a virgin shall conceive, and bring forth a Son, His name shall be called Jesus. Then again in Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. That’s Him! The Scribes, Pharisees, and Saducees all knew the Word of God, but they missed the God of the Word! Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: verse 8… And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Do you only know about Jesus, or do you know Him? To miss Jesus is to miss Heaven. After all, He is the door. Amen. Pastor
