Ephesians 6:8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. When the child of God enters the workplace, we come under the authority of our boss.
Everyone knows who their boss is. As Christians we must understand that when we enter the workplace we have two bosses. One on the job, and another in Heaven! We must realize that our talk, as well as our walk, will be a reflection of
our Father in Heaven. Biblically, “Lord” signifies supreme authority, sovereignty, and ownership. Many act today as if they received the Savior apart from the Lord. Scriptuallly, this is not possible. Consider please… 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. Not Lord or Savior, rather Lord AND Saviour. Jesus said in Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Have you ever heard someone say…
So and so is the same wherever you meet them. That’s because they realize they have two bosses. When they leave work the are out from under the authority of one, but they are never out from under the authority of the other! When we enter the workplace their is one boss that everyone knows, the other is present, but undercover to the lost. Our job as God’s people is to reveal him to a lost and dying world, EVERYWHERE we roam. Before I was saved, I encountered men that lived out their faith on the job. At the time I was unaware, they had two bosses. I’ve also worked with men who said they were Christians, but their speech betrayed them. Lord, help us to live in such a way, that no matter where we are, we’re a good reflection of our Savior AND our Lord.
Amen. Pastor
