A Call to War…

Ephesians 6:11-13  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Many promote a Christianity that is not taught in the Bible.   The life of the believer will experience hardship and at times an intense spiritual warfare.  When we trust Christ as Lord and Savior we are making it known whose side we are on.  The devil is the adversary of God and he is our adversary as well.  We are to fight the good fight of faith!  The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, they are spiritual.  The word of God is the sword of the spirit!  Years ago we were entering a prison to preach.  The guards do a thorough inspection to make sure no weapons or contraband enters the prison.  They ran our Bibles through the machine that xrays.  I looked at the officer and said… “That machine ain’t worth a flip!”  He said why.  I proceded to tell him three swords just passed thru the machine and it didn’t even beep!   Thank God we don’t have to go to battle without a weapon!  We need more soldiers in this war.  Too many are AWOL!  Paul told Timothy to endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.   I want to be a good soldier, dont you?
The captain of our salvation is still calling.   Will you answer the call?  Amen.  Pastor
