Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. When you study the life of Joseph you’ll find there were many challenging circumstances that he faced. The jealousy of his brethren, then being sold into slavery. It seemed things would be so much better when he arrived at Potiphar’s house.
But then we find Potiphar’s wife causing trouble for Joseph. Long story short, she falsely accused him of sexual misconduct. Just when you think it’s going good… BAM, you get hit again! Now Joseph finds himself in prison. It would be so easy to get bitter. The Bible tells us again and again… and the Lord was with Joseph! When one walks with God, the challenging circumstances of life will not make us bitter, but rather better! Joseph was a better man because of the trials! He ends up in the palace, next to Pharoah, the king of Egypt. The king of Egypt didn’t realize it, but the King of Glory was working all along! God used some really rough times in the life of Joseph to spare an entire nation. The brothers hated the dreamer, yet the dreamer and his dream was used mightily of God to spare Joseph’s family and the entire nation of Israel! Wouldn’t it be good if we only realized… though there are times when you can’t track the Lord, you can always trust Him! Amen. Pastor
