Offended!!!

Matthew 11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
Offended in this verse…to cause a person to begin to distrust and desert one whom he ought to trust and obey.
John the Baptist asked… art thou he, or do we look for another?  In the prison, he became somewhat unsure of the Lord’s ministry.  Our Lord did not rebuke John.  He sent John’s disciples with this message… Matthew 11:5  The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. When John heard that message, no doubt it brought great assurance!  That’s Him, praise God, that’s Him!  Jesus later said there was no one born of a woman greater than John.   When we’re going through tough times, we may be tempted to be angry with God, to turn our backs and go away from the Lord.  DON’T DO IT!
We live in a sin cursed world!  Bad things happen to God’s people as well as the heathen. Ask Job!  He was a righteous man.  When he lost everything, he said… the Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away, BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD!  Remember this, God blessed the latter end of Job more than the beginning.  Whatever we face,  dont forget… for God’s youngins,  THE BEST IS YET TO COME!  When you don’t understand,  always, always, always remember,  one day we will!  God is good, all the time, on time,  every time!  Don’t get mad at the best friend you ever had. Trust Him instead.  Amen.  Pastor
