1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  There’s no greater love than God’s love!  Proof… John 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  They did not take Jesus’s life. He freely gave it.  We love Him because He first loved us!  Jesus loves me, this I know,  for the Bible tells me so!  Think about this… A person may go to Hell without ever loving, but not one will ever go to Hell without being loved!  But God commendeth (demonstrated) His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. 
The love of God is greater far
  Than tongue or pen can ever tell.
It goes beyond the highest star
  And reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
  God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled
  And pardoned from his sin.

O love of God, how rich and pure!
  How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
    The saints’ and angels’ song.
Jesus loves you!  Do you love Him?
