1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Grace is never deserved, it is bestowed upon an individual because of faith. By grace are ye saved through faith. A proper appreciation for God’s grace will cause the believer to be humble, realizing that apart from the grace of God there is nothing good in and of themselves. Paul knew what he was before, and he knew WHO had changed his life completely.
It was grace that caused him to labour in the work of God. A proper understanding of God’s grace will always see to it that the Lord gets all the glory for everything accomplished in the Christian’s life. God in His grace came to us, God in His grace works through us.
To think that the likes of Him could use the likes of us is absolutely amazing! Are you saved? If so, can you say with Paul that His grace was not bestowed in vain? Does this grace cause you to labour in the work? Does this grace cause you to worship? Thank God for His amazing grace. God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense! Lord, help us all to live in such a way that others will know it’s not us, but rather Christ in us, the Hope of Glory. Amen. Pastor
