Psalm 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.  Many will never see a deer (hart) pant.  I remember being on White Top mountain years ago.   Miles and miles from society.  A deer came running by me slobering with her tongue hanging out.  There was a wild dog chasing her.  It was obvious that she was desperate for rest and a cool drink of water.  The very next verse… Psalm 42:2  My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?  Jesus said blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness,  for they shall be filled.  Our love is reflected in what, or should I say WHO, we thirst after.  Our Lord promised to pour water on him that is thirsty.  Are we really thirsting to know him.  Paul was!
Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;  Are we really thirsty to see others saved?  Paul was!  Romans 10:1  Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.  Are we really thirsting for our Lords coming?
John was!  Revelation 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.  You don’t have to study real hard to know Paul and John loved Jesus.   Just observe their thirst.  Are we thirsty?  If so, others will know our love as well.  Amen.  Pastor
