It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.  Pastor Rick Vannoy Dec 31 1959- ?  There’s the day our birth, then there’s the day of our death.  That is to be determined for me.  You too if you’re reading this!  In between the two dates on our tombstone or grave marker is a dash.  What happens in that dash matters!  The Bible likens the dash to a vapour.  My dad told me when I was a teenager,  “Son, the older you get the faster time flies.”  At the time I surely did not understand.  But… After marriage, four children,  eleven grand children,
three great grand kids, and thirty nine years of ministry, I get it now!  Time has literally flown by!  There are two most important things to pay particular attention to in the dash. First, what did you do WITH Jesus?  Did you receive Him or reject Him?  To reject Him means an eternity in Hell.  To receive Him is eternal life in glory with the Saviour and the saints!  If you have received Him as Lord and Saviour,  then the next important question is this… What did you do FOR Jesus?
What we do WITH Jesus determines our ENTRANCE into Heaven.   What we do FOR Jesus determines our REWARD in Heaven.   A quote from years ago… “Only one life, will soon be past, only what’s done for Jesus will last.” Amen. Pastor
