Matthew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
When we observe those around us who are lost, does it move us? Here are some things that may help us to see a lost world the way our Lord sees them…. perhaps it would be good, like the Apostle Paul to recall our own lost condition. When he preached to others, he often mentioned who he was BEFORE he met Christ on the road to Damascus. I think back on where I was and I’m deeply humbled that my Lord would even look my way, let alone come my way! It would be great when we look back to remember those who God put in our lives, who were able, not to just to see what we were, but what we could be when God’s good grace did its profound work in our lives! Prayer is key. One never has to wonder if they’re praying in God’s will when praying for the lost. It’s not God’s will that any should perish! The songwriter said… somebody prayed for me, they had me on their mind, they sacrificed their time, they fell down on their knees and prayed for me, they had no doubt, that God would bring me out, that He could change my life and set me free, oh I’m so glad that someone prayed for me! We will discover the heartbeat of God when we see the lost the way He sees them, and lift them up in prayer, believing the same God that changed us will change them. Who are you praying for today? Let your light shine, pray, tell someone what Jesus means to you. Jesus may come today! Are you ready? Pastor
