The precursor to destruction.  Proverbs 16:18  Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.  The middle letter in sin is I.  The middle letter in pride is I.
I read this story… Did you hear about the clever salesman who closed hundreds of sales with this line: “Let me show you something several of your neighbors said you couldn’t afford.”  Many in this world are so full of pride it makes God sick!  Pride, the big I, is what got Lucifer thrown out of Heaven!
Why can’t we just be content?  God has already given to us way more than we could ever deserve.   May God help us today to humble ourselves and acknowledge that without Him we could do nothing, and have nothing.  God is good, all the time!  We would do well to rejoice in His goodness,  ALL THE TIME!  Amen.  God does not want us to be haughty, but rather Holy.  Amen again.  Pastor
