Provoking others to love and good works…

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: This is a very important element in the church! We assemble together in God’s house to worship, praise, and hear from our dear Lord. There is another aspect that is often overlooked, that is, our fellowship with other believers! It is vitally important when we gather that we’re not just looking to see what we can get in the service, but what we can give as well. You’ll find two basic types of Christians, the getters and the givers! The givers are the happy warriors! They are not easily disappointed because they are looking for a way to help someone else rather than just looking for someone else to minister to them. Others, that is the key to joy. Jesus first, Yourself last, and Others in between. That’s how you spell JOY! Jesus came not to be ministered unto, but to minister. Should that not be our desire as well? It is my prayer that my life would provoke someone to love and good works. Sunday is coming. Did you know that just a word of encouragement may make a tremendous difference in another persons life. What if we set out to today to be sensitive to the blessed Holy Spirit this Lord’s day? I believe God will help us to find the right words, and do the right thing, to provoke others to love and good works, don’t you? Pastor
