2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.  Going with the flow is easy!  I heard an old preacher say any old dead fish can float downstream with the current!   It takes effort to swim upstream!  Our Lord Jesus said we are in the world, but not of the world.  Think with me for a moment about some bible heroes that went against the flow.  Moses chose to suffer affliction than to enjoy the pleasures of sin!  Joseph went against the flow when he would not yield to Potiphar’s wife’s sinful desires!  Daniel went against the flow when he refused to stop praying and ended up in a den of lions!  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego went against the flow when they refused to bow to the image of gold.  They quickly learned that it is better to walk with Jesus in the fire than bow to an idol to escape the fire!  Ruth went against the flow when she left Moab to go with Naomi back to Israel.  Boaz is sure glad she didn’t go with the flow!  John the Baptist went against the flow when he told Herod it was not lawful to have his brother’s wife!  It cost John his head, but it did not cost him his heart!  It is not easy to go against the flow.  I think of those 6 or 7 kids in my high school that would gather around the flagpole and pray every morning before school, if I could do it all over, I would have went against the flow and joined them!  Amen.
