Small things…

Zechariah 4:10  For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.  Smaller things can sometimes be the key to big blessings!
It was a small thing for David to care for the sheep.   When he left them with a keeper it was big, because his integrity was shining thru.  It was a small thing for David to carry ten cheeses to his brethren,  but it was a big thing to obey his father’s request.   It was a small thing to carry a sling and five smoothe stones into the battle, it was a big thing to trust God and see that big ole giant  defeated that day!  It was a little lad with a little lunch that showed up with a multitude one day.  It was a big thing to place it in the hands of the Master and watch him bless it, break it, and use it to feed five thousand.  When I was saved in 1987,  I told my pastor…  if you need me to mow the grass, I’ll mow it… paint a class, I’ll paint it… to teach a class, I’ll teach it… to drive a van, I’ll drive it… to clean a toilet, I’ll clean it!   Here I am almost fourty years later,  pastoring a wonderful bunch of God’s people, that’s a BIG thing, but remember…
I did not despise the day of small things.  It was then, and it is to this day,  an absolute honor to get to do ANYTHING for this man called Jesus!  Amen.  Pastor
