1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  There was a time in the life of David that you would not know he was a man after God’s own heart.  There was a time in the life of Peter you would never know he was a disciple of Jesus.   There was a time in the life of Lot that you would never guess he was a child of God.  There was a time in the life of John the Baptist you would never know that there was never a man born of a woman greater than John.   Here’s what I’m getting at… the same enemy that set out to destroy the identity of these great men is still in the same business!  Satan desires to kill, steal, and ultimately destroy.   Since he cannot destroy the soul of the child of God, he sets out to destroy our influence.  Ol slewfoot hates it when the believer is letting his or her light shine and others are being influenced for Christ.   May the Lord Jesus help us to be on guard and realize we have a Savior that is bigger than any problem, bigger than any temptation,  and bigger than that Devil that seeks to destroy our testimony.
Lean on Jesus!  Realize His strength is perfected in our weakness!  Call for help!  Our Lord Jesus is always on the line! Always on time!  Every time! Amen.  Pastor
