The legacy of a good king!

2 Kings 18:5-6 He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.
What will we leave behind?  Will our family and friends know that like Hezekiah, we were willing to tear down the things that hindered our walk with the Lord.   Consider… 1 John 5:21  Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
This is the last time the phrase “little children” is used in the Bible.  It is an admonition not to the lost, but rather to the children of the living God!  If we would be absolutely honest, every one of us fight a  battle to maintain a proper balance in our life.  When a  good thing keeps you from the best thing it becomes a bad thing!  The best thing for God’s children is to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.   When we get that right,  all the other things fall in place.  When we dont get that right, everything is out of place. King Hezekiah tore down the things that robbed God of his glory and built up the things that brought glory to the King of Kings.  None like him!  God said that! None before,  none after!  What a legacy! Amen.  Pastor
