Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  Romans 8 begins with NO CONDEMNATION and ends with NO SEPARATION!  God’s people can win in this battle.  Yes, the struggle is real, but so is the Savior!  Read the above verse again… there’s two very distinct keys to victory in the believers’ lives.  First, one must starve the flesh.  What we take in through the eye gate and the ear gate can have an enormous effect on the flesh life as well as the Spirit filled life.  If we starve the desires of the flesh and consequently feed the desires of the Spirit, it will work wonders in keeping us in fellowship with the Lord and His people.  The most difficult part of the Christian’s life is not living,  but rather dying.   Our flesh wants to be pampered. It has no interest whatsoever in being crucified!  Notice once again the order…Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.  It is faith on the offense that puts the flesh on the defense!  Thanks be to God which giveth us the victory…THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!  There is no victory over the flesh outside of the Savior!  You can try and try and try to overcome… the secret is not trying.
