Luke 19:34 The Lord hath need of him. Jesus sends his disciples to fetch a young donkey that he might ride on him into Jerusalem. We celebrate this event on Palm Sunday. Not many noticed the mule, because they were focused on the MASTER! They were rejoicing as the Lord passed by.
Did you know that if we are loosed, as was the donkey, and available, just like the donkey, our Lord can use us as well! Does it amaze you that the King of Glory would use a little colt to ride on? I’ll tell you what amazes me even more… It’s that the same King chooses to use the likes of you and me to accomplish his will here on earth! Someone once said… It doesn’t matter who gets the credit as long as God gets the glory! It should never make us proud when the Lord uses us. We should be humble, knowing that without Him we can do nothing! When we are being used of God, the attention should be directed toward our Lord and not toward us. Whether we are young or old, there is a Savior that desires to use us in the most important work on earth, the work of God.
Be lowly, like the donkey, be available, and ask the Lord to use you. HE WILL! Luke 17:10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
Amen. Pastor
