1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. I’m amazed, but I shouldn’t be. Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. The hatred of our country by some is evident, yet Jesus said Marvel not, if world hate you! I can remember exactly where I was on that day when 2 planes
hit the towers, another hit the Pentagon, and yet another was taken down by heroes in Shanksville, PA. There are those in the world who hate Jesus, hate freedom, and are determined to destroy our way of life. Jesus told us in … Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. I’m part of His church! The gates of Hell shall not prevail against it! Amen. Yesterday, a young man was assassinated on a college campus. His name is Charlie Kirk, founder of a conservative movement of young people called Turning Point USA. Yet another example of the hatred by the world of truth and common sense. Charlie found his purpose in life at a very young age. He would travel the country exalting the principles found in God’s word and the constitution. He was unashamed of Jesus, his Savior and guide. His example is inspiring. I’m Amazed that someone succeeded in ending his life here on earth. I should not be. The country truly is at a TURNING POINT. I’m not talking about turning blue or red, but rather turning to the God of our fathers. There is a precious family that will now be without a husband and dad. The world hated Charlie, but the Lord loves him. He is not dead! He’s very much alive in the presence of the Lord. He fought a good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith. Here is the prescription needed in America this morning… 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
