Psalm 16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Have you ever tried to maneuver in the dark without a light?  Have you ever caught the bedpost with your toe in the middle of the night? I have tried to navigate the woods before in the absence of light, it never works out well!  I find myself tripping over something,  or a thorn or a branch poking me.  We need not try to navigate life without light!  The gracious Lord Jesus shows us the path of life.  When we trust Him as Lord and Savior we change course.  We were on the path of darkness, death, and destruction… But God who is rich in mercy, showed us a better way.  It is God’s word that lights the path.  Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path! It is God’s Spirit that guides us in His word. John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  It is the Lord that shows us the path in the beginning as we are saved.   It is the Lord that shows us the path on the journey as we are sanctified.  It is the Lord that lights the path as we cross the river into eternity as we at last are glorified!  The path of the believer is well worn.  Many have walked this way before.
It is an old path, laid out in scripture, that leads to fullness of joy!  Seek out the old paths, and walk therein!  Fulness of joy now, pleasures forever more in eternity!  Oh, what a Savior! 
Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:  There are two paths in the earth, the path of darkness,  and the path of light.
Which path are you on?  We that are in the path of life should walk as children of light!
